At our clinic, we provide modern treatment using Invisalign – an almost invisible aligner that is custom-made to fit your dental arches.. The aligners move your teeth step by step into the ideal position according to an individually prepared treatment plan. Each set is worn for approximately a week and the total duration of treatment depends on your diagnosis and desired result.
Aligners work on the principle of controlled tooth movement. Unlike traditional braces, they allow you to precisely control not only the extent of each tooth’s movement, but also the exact time when this movement occurs.
Invisalign aligners are made from a translucent, strong, biocompatible medical-grade thermoplastic specially developed for this system. The material is durable, safe, and comfortable for your teeth and mouth.
1.Digital model: Initially, a 3D scan of the dental arches is created, which accurately depicts their current shape. Based on this model, the specialist – an orthodontist – will design the ideal position of all teeth at the end of treatment in the ClinCheck software.
2.Movement planning: The movements needed to achieve the final result are divided into a series of aligners.
3.Stage treatment: You wear the aligners according to your orthodontist’s instructions and change sets regularly. The first set of aligners moves your teeth from position A to position B, the second from position B to position C, and so on until the desired result is achieved.
This system allows for the most efficient and precise control of tooth movement.
Aligners are usually only noticeable to someone up close, they often go unnoticed in normal conversation.
No metal parts or wires, attachments are smooth and easy to clean.
Gently dosed force reduces discomfort when moving teeth.
Smooth and rounded aligners do not press or hurt the tongue or cheeks.
You simply remove the aligners and you can eat whatever you like.
You change the sets at home. Check-ups are usually significantly less frequent than with fixed appliances.
No wire poking or other pain associated with traditional braces.
You can see what your teeth will look like before treatment begins.
Predictability and Digital Planning allows precise control over every tooth movement.
Multiple movements can be performed at once, which often shortens treatment time compared to fixed appliances.
At our clinic, we use iTero Element, a modern optical scanner based on CAD/CAM technology.

Invisalign are nearly invisible aligners, that are custom-made. They move your teeth into their ideal position step by step according to a treatment plan prepared by your orthodontist. Each set is worn for approximately a week, and the length of treatment depends on your diagnosis and the desired position of your teeth and jaws at the end of the treatment.
Invisalign treatment process begins with a digital dental scan, which creates an accurate 3D model of the upper and lower dental arch. Using this model, we will show you the main problems and explain how and in what order we can most effectively address them.
More than 20 million patients worldwide have been treated with Invisalign – and that number of smiles continues to grow every day.
The price of Invisalign treatment depends on the patient’s age, the complexity of the orthodontic problem and the course of treatment. In general, the price is comparable to traditional fixed braces. In our clinic, the price of Invisalign treatment, depending on the complexity of the clinical case, usually ranges from €1,800 (for children) to €4,200.
Invisalign aligners work on the principle of controlled tooth movement. Unlike traditional braces, they allow you to precisely control not only the amount of movement of each tooth, but also the time at which this movement occurs.
The process begins with the creation of a digital model of the patient’s teeth, on which the ideal final position is set. Thus, two digital models are created – the current state and the planned position. Subsequently, the movements necessary to achieve the final result are divided into a series of aligners. The first aligner moves the teeth from state A to state B, the second from state B to state C and so on.
In this way, it is possible to precisely control at each stage which teeth are moving and which serve as anchor points that do not move. The force applied to the teeth is thus very effective and precisely controlled, which allows you to achieve the planned result with maximum precision.
Invisalign’s virtually invisible aligners are made from a strong medical-grade thermoplastic specially developed for this system. The material is biocompatible and durable, making it safe for your teeth and mouth.
In Slovakia, Invisalign treatment can only be performed under the supervision of a specialist orthodontist. Every orthodontist interested in this method must undergo special training. This will give them the necessary qualifications and experience with various clinical cases before they start treating patients in their clinic.
An experienced team awaits you at our office, which has extensive experience with Invisalign technology, which is confirmed by a wide group of satisfied patients.
An experienced professional can use Invisalign to treat most orthodontic problems in adults, adolescents, and children.
For adolescents and children: We recommend consulting with an orthodontist to determine the most appropriate treatment method and the ideal time to start Invisalign. We typically wait until at least the permanent central incisors and first permanent molars have erupted, but each patient is unique, so the decision is tailored to the specific situation.
In general, the intervals between visits during Invisalign treatment are significantly less frequent than with traditional braces. The patient also spends less time in the chair during treatment, as there is no need to activate and change the orthodontic wires.
The frequency of check-ups depends on the patient’s age, the planned tooth movements, and whether a particular aligner needs adjustment at a particular stage of treatment. The purpose of the visit is to check that the treatment is progressing according to plan and that all attachments are still holding the teeth in the correct position, all of which must be completed before the next set of aligners is given.
Based on your individual treatment plan, your doctor will determine the optimal length of the interval between check-ups. However, visits are often made approximately once every two months.
The length of treatment with Invisalign depends on the initial diagnosis and the complexity of the specific case. In many cases, the treatment is significantly shorter than with traditional braces and usually lasts only a few months. We will provide you with more precise information about the expected length of treatment during a personal consultation.
Invisalign treatment is not painful. After the new aligner is fitted, the patient may feel only a little pressure. In children whose bones are less calcified, this pressure often does not occur at all. If it does occur, it usually lasts only the first day, a maximum of three days, and is usually completely manageable without the need for analgesics. This feeling is a natural sign that the aligners are gradually moving the teeth and helping to achieve the desired result.
During a personal consultation, we can determine whether Invisalign treatment is suitable for you, or whether there are factors that would prevent it.
Because bridges firmly connect two or more teeth, they can be an obstacle to moving them. Based on a personal consultation, we can tell you exactly whether and to what extent bridges will be a limiting factor in your Invisalign treatment.
Dental crowns do not usually interfere with Invisalign treatment. However, sometimes small composite elements called attachments are glued to the teeth to help the aligner hold better and allow for more precise movement of the tooth in different directions. Attachments cannot usually be attached to crowns, so their placement must be carefully considered when planning treatment.
Yes, Invisalign can effectively close gaps between teeth, and in most cases it is a simple type of correction.
This fact should always be taken into account when planning treatment for patients with temporomandibular joint (TMJ) disorders. Depending on the specific case, the condition may improve, remain unchanged or, conversely, worsen during treatment. Therefore, it is important to have a personal consultation, during which we will assess whether Invisalign treatment is suitable for you, with jaw joint problems.
Wearing a retainer after orthodontic treatment is very important because the new position of the straightened teeth is initially unstable. It is not possible to go from wearing aligners 22 hours a day to completely eliminating the application of orthodontic force. The retainer stabilizes the straightened teeth in their new position. If you want your teeth to remain in their ideal position, you need to wear it according to the recommendations of your treating doctor. At the same time, at the end of the therapy in our clinic, we will also explain all the details about its function and significance.
Teeth shifting after orthodontic treatment is called relapse. This problem is quite common, especially in patients who wore braces several years ago. Invisalign can effectively correct these changes in most cases and return teeth to their correct position.
Yes, switching from fixed braces to Invisalign is possible. In some cases, these methods are even combined – part of the treatment is done with fixed braces and part with Invisalign aligners. During the consultation, we will advise you whether this procedure is suitable for you.
No, there are no dietary restrictions during Invisalign treatment. Unlike fixed braces, you can simply remove your aligners from your mouth before eating and drinking, so you can enjoy all your favorite foods. The attachments usually do not come off when eating. However, it is very important that you brush your teeth after each meal and at least rinse your aligners thoroughly before reinserting them. Following the principles of proper dental hygiene is also very important in this case.
The aligners must be worn throughout the entire treatment period. They should be in your mouth for at least 20 to 22 hours a day. Simply put, they should be on your teeth at all times, except when eating, drinking, and brushing your teeth.
The vast majority of patients do not experience any impact on speech when wearing aligners. A slight lisp may occur at first, but the soft tissues in the mouth quickly get used to the aligners and the rattling almost completely stops. As with fixed appliances, the beginning of wearing them is associated with the feeling of something “new” in the mouth.
We do not recommend smoking while wearing aligners as this may cause stains or discoloration of the aligners. However, smoking does not affect the therapeutic potential of the aligners.
We do not recommend chewing gum while wearing your aligners as it could stick to them or the attachments. We recommend removing your aligners before every meal, whether large or small.
The best way to clean aligners is to clean them mechanically with a brush and toothpaste and then rinse them with lukewarm water. Patients can start using their original toothbrush to clean their aligners, as they can put more pressure on them than on their teeth. They can then use a new, separate, clean toothbrush for their teeth. For perfect hygiene, it is important to brush your teeth after each meal and at least rinse your aligners thoroughly before putting them back in. However, you should also clean your aligners with toothpaste and a brush at least in the morning and evening.
